The Big Give’s East Africa Emergency Matched Fund raised over £200,000 to help those most affected by the devastating droughts in the region.
In July 2011, over 10million people were affected by the worst droughts in 60 years. To help boost donations, sponsors of the Big Give generously offered to match donations from the public made to 13 charities working in the affected area, which helped us raise over £200,000.
